we are all about innovation and concept so anything that captures that for us is highly welcomed for a review here on our blog. still on the matter, this cool looking scooter has our attention and we intend to find out whats its all about (...so should you).
named the Gogoro Smartscooter (...ummm, Lagosians and 'Lere peeps in particular are allowed to start laughing now) this smartscooter as its termed is a clean energy machine which if you ask us we could use such related machines for transportation here in Nigeria (...and the world too, don't forget the world). unlike the majority of clean energy vehicles out there that require charge time with usage, the Gogoro Smartscooter makes use of swapping its internal battery from a third party station which will have a readily charged replacement at all times, taking less than 10 seconds to install and go (...pretty time managing). each battery provides a travel distance of 62 miles (...for reference, National Stadium Surulere to Lagos Business School Lekki is approximately 14 miles) at top speed of 60mph.
so what makes this Gogoro scooter smart you ask (...so are we)? well here is a list of things it comes equipped with;
- 55 onboard sensors.
- bluetooth and NFC
- cloud connectivity
- integrated app (Gogoro app) which helps smartly manage battery, track travelling details, mapping and more.
the Gogoro is not built shabbily in the least too, with premium ultra-light aluminium build, aerodynamic frame, impressive race suspension, hybrid racing tires (no drifting, just don't) and a motor controller with digital processing.
the Gogoro Smartscooter is no power bike of sort soooo dont go fantasizing its an alternative to them. its a simple casual energy efficient and no pollution ride the average rider will appreciate and will grow fond of. its a great concept and we love it. GO GOGORO!!! (...the name still cracks us up though).
note: its still yet to launch officially (...no Nigerians, they wont be launching here, not yet anyway).
