The tech world has been buzzing very recently
of the new flagship Nexus device and what it will be offering. We understand
not everyone would follow on what a Nexus is so let’s update you.
The Nexus phone is Googles own flagship
device that brings top end specifications at a very reasonable price (…that’s debatable).
The Nexus devices are created from a partnership of Google and a phone
manufacturer (…Samsung, LG, and recently Motorola), these devices run untouched
Android O.S referred to as “stock Android” (no added app or installation). The benefits of these devices are quite
pleasing, from receiving timely and recent O.S updates from Google directly
before any other device, original Android O.S runs in perfection due to Google
developing it to fit the Nexus devices, prompt software fixes usually via OTA
updates and also improvements for its hardware. These are the basic plus for
Nexus devices, there are always more if you look deeper.
Now that you know what a Nexus device is, it
is great news to know the Nexus 6 is just around the corner and various leaks
about its configuration and even looks are parading the internet.
Spec wise, the device will spot a 5.9”
QHD display with 496ppi (that’s super sharp crisp text and images), 13MP rear camera
+ 2MP front facing camera, front-facing stereo speakers and a 3200+
mAh battery (that should not disappoint).
Looks
department, the Nexus 6 design scheme closely resembles the recently released
Moto X device. That said, it’s quite a stunner.
Our
Verdict: the 5.9” screen estate seems a bit much and clearly states the device
is a phablet (in-between a phone and a tablet size) which may not appeal to a
larger audience than a smaller screen device that’s easy to handle. Perhaps a
smaller form factor will be released alongside but for now, no word on that. The
device impresses in detail, a hands-on should prove it even more amazing.
What’s
your take? We got you.
