The Samsung galaxy Alpha has struck a new trend for the giant mobile
company and now a new line has been born from the Alpha…the Samsung Galaxy
Alpha A-series.
A number of devices have already been previewed to the market tagged
as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha A3, A5 and A7. What sets this new line apart from
previous Samsung lines is basically the metallic framing as on the Samsung
Galaxy Alpha…seems that’s pretty much it.
Releasing the first Alpha more in the territory of high-end device
price apparently seems not to have met the tech giants’ expectations so
naturally knowing their usual strategy, create similar devices with lower specs
and flood the market. Yes Samsung, we caught on…it’s really too obvious now.
Not much info is known about the A7 but as for the A3 and A5, both
will come with a Snapdragon 401 mid-range 64-bit processor, 8mpx and 13mpx rear
cameras respectively with 5mpx front facing ones, super AMOLED screens…but a lower
grade type seemingly, 4.5” and 5” qHD screens respectively, 1gb RAM, 16gb
in-built storage expandable via micro SD slot.
We think: True, any Sammy hard-core fan will be tripping over this new
metal framed Galaxy line (…which should have been done a long time ago than
creating cheap plastic expensive devices for the market) but we can’t help but
notice, are these devices really anything new?
There are a handful of Samsung
devices already sporting very similar if not same specs and are cheaper sooooo,
it would seem Sammy is re-branding those devices with a tiny bit of improvement
(metal doesn't burn like plastic for what it’s worth) making them more elegant
and putting them out for pocket questionable prices. Then again, it all comes
down to customer preference.
