going PLASTC.

Going PLASTC.

Here’s a little something smart that caught our attention and we’re sure yours too after reading this. Everyone has some kind of debit/credit card and most times we have more than one…not counting the online account types too we use in specific online stores. So apparently this company has thought of a wonderful new way to integrate all our cards and other account types into just one card and (ooh! here’s the good part) it a card-like computer, yes with a form of input, output and processing…pretty impressive we must say.

Looking in-depth from what we gathered, it has the following features;
-          Chip and PIN (for security).
-          E-ink Touchscreen (think of an advanced calculator screen type with touch).
-          Bluetooth (connectivity to smart devices e.g. phones, tablets etc.).
-          Flash Memory (up to 20 debit/credit/other card type info storage).
-          Rechargeable Battery (30-day charge…amazing).
-          Rewritable Magnetic Stripe (coding and recoding of info)
-          Rewritable RFID/NFC (communication with device).
-          Wireless Charging (how else could it be super thin).

It seems kind of impossible wouldn’t you say to have a card possess all these, but hey! Check out the link to see and learn more…oh! It’s not a free device by the way and we hope its pricing is convincing too.

Verdict: we love the innovation and we see this really becoming useful and possibly replacing our other cards in our wallets and pockets. It’s got very good protection against theft, it can link with your smart device and puts all your private data in one place…hmmm! Some people may not like that idea though but knowing your data will always be safe in worst case scenario should help in convincing us better.

In the end its adoption will be largely based on customer preference, affordability and availability (which new tech isn’t).

Kudos Plastc. Check out the images.
